COMING SOON TO A DRIVE-IN NEAR YOU!

Here's a pin-up that I did for my friend Wynn Ryder's new comic "Island of the She Devils. The book is an homage to those over-the-top 1970's sexploitation films (a'la ILSA, SHE-WOLF OF THE SS, and the like). So, I went all out with the lurid sexploitation... perhaps a little too far. But in comparison with the actual films, how far is too far?

For the piece itself, I was thinking of a re-release poster, for the Grindhouse/Drive-in circuit. Where all pretense of story is lost and it's all about the smut. Just as THEY CALL HER ONE EYE was re-released as HOOKER'S REVENGE.

Having been a fan of this sort of over-the-top exploitation film I had a blast working on it. It's pure, unfiltered, untamed pulp.
